Italian literature: a book to read in August
Hello, Italian language students!
A bit of literature today, for the month of August.
Sillabari is a collection of short stories, or "prose poems", and represents a masterpiece of contemporary Italian literature.
To each letter of the alphabet Parise associates one or more aspects of life, starting from the A for amore (love) and stopping at the S for solitudine (loneliness). Because, as Parise says, "in the letter S, despite the programs, poetry has abandoned me".
You can find an excerpt from the book here.
Enjoy your reading and continue studying Italian with us in September!
